Barcelona
Barcelona – the second largest city in Spain, the capital of Catalonia – is a tourist destination with many attractions.
It is a cosmopolitan city, with very rich architecture, and several sui generis works, full of charming streets, squares, interesting museums, monuments, beautiful beaches, good restaurants, and a busy nightlife.
It has many famous works by Antoni Gaudí such as the Sagrada Familia cathedral, one of the symbols of the city, in addition to Casa Batló, Park Güell, and Casa Milà (“La Pedrera”), among others.
One of the most striking features of Barcelona is that it is super nice to walk around.
It has an almost bucolic atmosphere, even though it is a big city.
The ease of reaching the beach and shopping at the same time gives an air of tranquility in the middle of the city.
I chose an apartment that was in front of the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and very close to the metro.
With that, I was able to visit all the sights easily.
We went to the beach, Casa Milá, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, boat trip.
Next to the cruise port, the wide beach of Sant Sebastià and the popular beach of Barceloneta places with an excellent infrastructure of bars and restaurants.
We ate cod with potatoes and a sensational Spanish white wine with an incredible view of the Mediterranean Sea.
Then we took the cable car that goes up to the top of Montjuïc hill, to admire the views of the coast, marinas, port area, and beaches.
Unfortunately, it’s time to go home.
