Florença

Florence, a city in Tuscany, is the cradle of the Renaissance, breathes art, culture and is considered an open-air museum

One of the best known is the Duomo (cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) with its green, white and pink marble.

Its museums are full of works such as Michelangelo’s David.

The Ponte Vecchio, the city’s postcard, gives the romantic atmosphere of Florence: despite the grandeur of the work, the tiny windows give the city a melancholy air.

Many of the best artists passed through Florence such as Dante, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.

Galleria degli Uffizi where works by the greatest names of the Renaissance are on display, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Tiziano and Raphael.

The Medici family supported and maintained much of the culture, science, and literature of the day.

Now it’s time to go to Rome.
