Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is situated in the west of the country, between the majestic Vitosha Mountains and the Thracian Plain. With a history dating back centuries, the city has become a cultural and political epicenter of the region.

After passing through the main objectives of this trip, the Pyramids in Egypt, Petra in Jordan,  Istanbul and Cappadocia in Turkey, now it is time to start the journey to return to Frankfurt.

My route will be Sofia in Bulgaria, Skopje in North Macedonia, Pristina in Kosovo, Belgrade in Serbia, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zagreb in Croatia and Budapest in Hungary and back to Frankfurt

Sofia is a small, pleasant city with histories dating back over 2,000 years with vast parks and well-kept gardens offering a welcome respite from busy life.and temples.
